Roofers in Newhaven for the hillside terraces above the harbour, the estates of Denton and South Heighton and everything in between. Ring 01273 110909 or send the form for a free quote.
Newhaven's terraces step up the hill from the harbour on the Ouse, and from the top of the town the roofs look straight out to sea. That means wind from the south-west and from the river valley, and terraces where every house shares a chimney, a party wall and its weak points with the next.
Shared chimney stacks with cracked flaunching, lead flashings lifting where terraces step down the slope, and slipped slates and tiles are the everyday repairs here. Across the river, Denton and South Heighton are inter-war and post-war houses in concrete tile.
On a stepped terrace, the junction where one roof meets the wall of the next is the classic leak. New lead soakers and a step flashing fix it properly.
Newhaven is about 9 miles east of our Brighton base, where the Ouse meets the sea below the fort and the Dieppe ferry comes in. We cover the hillside terraces, Meeching, Denton, South Heighton and Bishopstone.
Terraces stepping up the hill share chimneys and party walls, so chimney and lead repairs and the flashing where one roof meets the next wall make up most of our roof repairs here, along with slipped slates and tiles.
Across the river, Denton and South Heighton are inter-war and post-war houses in concrete tile, now old enough for a full new roof. Our new roof cost guide has the 2026 budgets.

Where roofs step down a hill, the flashing against the next wall is the weak point. New lead there solves it.
