Flat roofing in Worthing, from Goring to East Worthing: extensions, garages, dormers and bay tops relaid from a new deck in felt, EPDM or GRP. Ring 01273 110909 or send the form for a free quote from William.
Worthing has more flat roofs than most towns its size. The inter-war semis of Broadwater and Tarring gained kitchen extensions and flat-roofed garages, Goring and Ferring bungalows have rear additions and dormers, and the Victorian and Edwardian houses near the seafront carry small flat tops over their bays.
Most of them have been patched more than once, often with a new layer of felt laid over the old one. Water gets between the layers, the boards underneath go soft, and the leak shows up a metre from where it started. We strip back to the joists, replace any rotten boards with a new OSB deck and lay one system properly.
Torch-on felt suits most extensions and garages, EPDM rubber goes down as one sheet with no joints on simple shapes, and GRP gives a hard, walkable finish around rooflights and awkward details. The edge against the house wall gets a dressed upstand and flashing, because that is where most extension roofs fail.

A tidy site and a 25-year guarantee on re-roofs and flat roofs.
A garage or small extension is a one-day job. Larger roofs, or roofs needing new joists, take two to three days.
Yes. Bay tops are re-covered in felt, GRP or lead, with new flashing where they meet the wall.
Small splits and failed upstands can be repaired. If the deck is soft, a repair only moves the leak, and we will show you why.
Yes, every time we replace a covering. Laying new felt over a wet or soft deck is how flat roofs fail early.
